Blue Whale Study
Research Scientist Dr Peter Gill has spent much of his life researching whales. In 1998 Dr Gill established the Blue Whale Study after discovering that the Bonney Upwelling off Portland was a globally significant blue whale feeding area. Since 1998 the Blue Whale Study has become internationally recognised as a pioneer of blue whale ecological research. They are also well known for their community engagement, educational services including Youth Scholarship programs, and government and industry consultancy services.
